Boat Tour on the Sava, Danube, and Tisza – One-Day Trip from Belgrade to Titel

We embark in the morning, with a welcome drink in hand, sailing upstream on the Danube to the mouth of the Tisza River. This magical moment is shrouded in the legend of Attila the Hun, whose golden coffin, according to lore, is buried here. We continue along the Tisza River to Titel, a historic town rich in cultural heritage.

Titel – A Town steeped in history

In Titel, you will have the opportunity to visit remnants of Roman fortifications, monuments from the time of Serbian despots, as well as the barracks and powder magazine of the Šajkaš regiment.

Enjoy stories about notable figures such as Svetozar Miletić and Isidora Sekulić, who were born in this region.

Ethno House and Titel Hill

After exploring Titel, we will visit the Ethno House on the slopes of Titel Hill. This small museum of old crafts and tools preserves the tradition of Serbian, Hungarian, and Herzegovinian homes. Enjoy a tasting of homemade brandy in the wine cellar, while the host shares stories of bygone times.

Fish Specialties on the Tisza

On the banks of the Tisza, we will enjoy a meal at a riverside inn, featuring fish specialties from the Tisza and Danube. As you savor the food, the view of the river and boats brings to life the famous song “Boat on the Tisza.”

Return Down the Danube

After lunch, we will continue sailing downstream on the Tisza, and then back down the Danube to Belgrade. We will pass historical sites such as Stari Slankamen and Belegiš, where you can enjoy the views of river islands and sandy shoals.

During the voyage, we will have a wine tasting from Serbia’s best wine regions, guided by a professional wine taster.

Arrival in Belgrade

Our return to Belgrade is scheduled for the evening, accompanied by a glass of sparkling wine. We will sail under the Pupin Bridge, past Zemun and its Gardoš Tower, Great War Island, and into the Sava River near the Novak Djokovic Tennis Center and illuminated Kalemegdan Fortress.

We conclude this exciting day on three rivers, passing under Belgrade’s bridges, with a spectacular view of the city from the river.
