Great War Island is a protected nature reserve located at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, providing a perfect escape for nature and adventure lovers. This hidden gem in the heart of the city is ideal for kayaking, offering an adventurous workout that will refresh your soul.

Our kayak adventure starts every day at 11 AM and 5 PM. The meeting point is provided after the registration is complete, and it is necessary to arrive 15 minutes earlier for equipment distribution and preparation for departure.

Previous experience is not necessary – you will receive basic training on how to handle the kayak from our experienced instructors.

The kayaks are stable “sit-in” models, ideal for recreation and easy handling. The adventure is of medium difficulty level and lasts from 2 to 3 hours, including training.

All participants must be adults, while children can participate accompanied by a parent or guardian, with a 50% discount for children up to 14 years old paddling in a tandem kayak with an adult.

Kayak adventure plan

At the beginning of the adventure, you will receive a brief dry-land training, after which we enter the kayaks and start the practical part. The instructor is with you all the time, providing support and advice. We paddle upstream to Lido Beach on the northern part of the island. If the weather is suitable, we will enjoy swimming. We continue along the coast, circling around Great War Island, with breaks for rest and refreshment on the beach.

Preparation for the adventure

For this kayak adventure dress in sportswear and according to the weather conditions. Since it is a water sport, expect to get wet, so bring a change of clothes.

We recommend bringing:

• Water,
• Energy snacks,
• Hat,
• Sunglasses,
• Sunscreen, and
• Flip-flops for warm weather.

If you have gym or cycling gloves, bring them to avoid blisters from paddling. The best clothing is synthetic and wool.
